They're much better than the ones I had before because of the angled handles. I previously had a pair that came with a Sears Jointer I bought about 25 years ago. These push blocks are great. These result in pushing the wood forward, of course, but also laterally into the fence. I gave those to my son-in-law along with the jointer. My new jointer didn't come with push blocks, so I ordered these. Very nice. They're just plastic, but I'm pretty sure they'll last at least as long as the Sears push blocks have (which still look like new).
